I’m officially on pre-holiday mode! I’ve got a week of school left but no actual lessons to teach, so i just gotta hold the fort until next Friday and I’m doooooooone!
After that, I’ve got plans to refurbish our flat, mainly our office-to-be, and re-organize cabinets and drawers before we leave on another amazing adventure – only 20ish days to go!! I’m so psyched!
Last weekend me and K. went to our beloved Amsterdam. We had a blast, to put it mildly.
Lots of good food, lots of beer and pure moments of doing-nothing-pleasure. I haven’t yet taken the photos out of my camera, but will do soon, so today I’m just gonna leave you with a couple ones taken with the iPhone.
We ate ramen at wagamama, and ramen at a Japanese restaurant on the suburbs of Amsterdam that reminded us very dearly of the true Japanese ramen we had around Japan. We also headed to the port to have a great great dinner at Fifteen, Jamie Oliver’s restaurant and project in Mokkum.
Many other things were done, but that’s for the next post.
Enjoy your weekend!
I know, radio silence, yet again. What can I say? I’m sorry.
I’m tired. A lot has happened and I’m thoroughly tired. And now apparently my tonsils are hating on me.
So be patient with me and don’t give up hope just yet.
I’m still here, alive and kicking.
We have been having a great time down here with nuestros hermanos!
The internet connection is at the moment very slow and shitty, so I’m just going to upload a few pics.
Basically we explored nearly all of Barcelona, on foot and on those touristy buses that take you everywhere (it’s worth it! We really enjoyed it) and ate very delicious food.
We then headed, yesterday, to Port Aventura, where we spent the day. In one word: freaking-awesome!
And it’s not over yet! We still got a few places to see.
Have fun people!
So here we are on our final destination: Barcelona.
It’s been quite a delicious and stress free time over here. We drove through Madrid, spent the night, stopped by Zaragoza and headed off to Montserrate, that is quite spectacular.
In Zaragoza we watched the processions that were going on due to Easter celebrations; and in Montserrate we awed over the mountains and the beauty and peacefulness of the monastery.

Again, sorry for the radio silence. I haven’t been very active lately, either with the blog or photos or whatever. Only work.
And whenever I get some free time i only want to stay in and do literally nothing. I have to be dragged outside of the house to get out.
I don’t know what is wrong with me… Tiredness maybe?
It’s also the very first time in my life that I feel so out of shape. I started the year wanting to run and do everything and then I got sick and I haven’t been sick-free for two months now, it seems. Gah.
I’m hoping everything changes after next week when I get a somewhat bigger break than before…
To top it all, while at school after a really busy day I get an email from K with a picture of Akira’s ear all bloody.
Akira was bitten by another dog on one of his ears and even though he’s fine now, it was quite a scare. He’s now under a daily rampage of medicines that I’m also not quite fond of…but I guess it’s for the best.
Let’s hope for better more rested days.
Have a great Sunday!
So here’s the actual situation: I’m in bed, under the covers, writing this, while 90ish tests, 90ish lab reports and 90 ish essays wait for me to mark and grade them. This weekend.
So you can imagine how life has been around here. It’s been nearly 2 weeks since I got back from Dubai and it sure feels like a big whole week…
I went to Abu Dhabi on work, so I didn’t have much time to walk around (and you need a very long time to walk around) so i only got a few pics that are supposed to portray an enormous city.
Everything is absolutely huge there. It was certainly a very different place to be in. Where you’d have to take care on what clothes you wear (specially if you’re a woman) and how to behave. Everyone is very very nice and always very helpful no matter what situation, but I was there for a very short period of time, so…
Either way it’s a place I’d certainly like to go back to with Keoshi, and just have more time to see more of it.
This was probably the best airline company I’ve ever been on. The food was absolutely delicious.

Another 5th of March, meaning another year that me and Keoshi celebrate our anniversary. Eleven years together and counting.
This year will be the first that we’ll be spending apart (since we have started to live together). I’m now sort of used to having a whole ocean in between us, but this time, while he’s working on the East coast of the USA, I’ll be flying to Asia for work. So it’s an ocean aaaand a continent!
Today I went for a long walk with Akira and everything felt so peaceful. He was behaving great, the weather was great, I was listening to music… Quite relaxing. And the perfect way to celebrate this day – considering there’s no better way. We’ll be celebrating together as soon as I get back, can’t wait!
So much of me is made of what I learned from You. Thank You.
Have a great week!
K and me have been trying to enjoy every little bit of sunshine we can get, so last weekend we went on a walk by the riverside and had Guinness and fish & chips, while Akira happily begged for fish and chips and enjoyed the views. It was such a nice little stroll.
I was finally able to go through nearly all the blogs on my reading list! It’s quite wonderful to go through all the posts from friends and find some really nice things. <*rant*>Or things that make my insides turn a bit! People should be warned about certain members of this community… But that’s a topic for me to think of. *rant*>
One other thing I’ve also checked was Pinterest! Oh I’m in love with the Pinterest app for the iPad! I could spend hours on that thing! It’s quite awesome.
And I haven’t watched the oscars yet! Will do in a couple of minutes once I get up from my warm and cozy bed. I tried to stay awake, but just couldn’t. I hope it was a good show.
Completely nonsense post! Yay!! So happy that I’m on break!
Have a great week, people!
