dear john.

The other day I bought ‘dear john‘ by Nicholas Sparks. 

The love story, beautiful. The novel, meh.

I’m not going to write much about it because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but I do wanna say that besides the fact that the reader can really feel the love between the characters and it’s a beautiful love story, everything else is just… predictable.

I finished the book in 3 days – I slept like 2 hours a night and I still had classes the other morning, I’m mental just like that – and then I had to watch the movie.

Dear john, the movie has one good (it was okay) thing: the actors.

I think they incarnated the characters as best as they possibly could, considering how the screenplay was written…

The movie has nothing to do with the book. They are even some characters that have different background stories than what the book describes, which was a shock to me…

I think I never rated a movie so low before… O_o

It was a shame, really…
