the Vatican.

When I told my grandma I would be coming to Rome she made me promise I would see the pope. I always try to keep my promises so on Sunday we got up went straight to the Vatican and there he was! I think he was blessing the crowd but I’m not sure… Anyway! Right after that we got ourselves in the st. Peter’s basilica. The best moment to avoid the long lines here is to go when the pope is talking. Everybody’s listening so there’s no one in line!

The basilica is absolutely huge and beautiful as well. The statues the frescoes the altar… Everything. We in awe… It’s the kind of thing that you really have to see for yourself… Then we went to the dome. We climbed the required 320 steps and were in awe again. First you can see the inside the basilica but from a gallery way up, and after climbing steps again you get to the very top of the basilica from where you can see all of Rome. It’s quite beautiful and a little bit scary! Again, it’s something you really have to see for yourself if you can.

Today is the last day in Rome. Yesterday we just walked around again saw more churches as they are quite unique around here and went down the Spanish steps just because. Tomorrow there’ll be more photos of that.

On the way back to the hotel yesterday in the afternoon, we found a black case right near the colosseum. I said “somebody left an iPad” and keoshi said “it’s not an iPad!” well… Turns out it was an iPad. I kept looking around to see of somebody was going to come back for it, but no one did, so we brought it to the hotel with us. We found out who it belongs to but somehow, the person isn’t replying our emails nor the hotel where the owner is at…
I’m still hoping they reply to their email. I’d be totally bummed out for a really long time if I lost something like that.

Oh well… Have a nice Tuesday!
