I’m all packed up and in just a few minutes I’ll be leaving to Sevilla and will stay for a few days. As much as I am dreading the heat, I’m trying to think only about the huge pool and the late night walks so I’m really excited! Unfortunately I won’t be taking my camera, nor do I think I’ll be shooting with any dslr, because I forgot the battery charger back in Lisbon. I’m afraid I will have to make do with the iphone (which isn’t that bad).
I’m going to leave you with a few more photos from Rome and the promise that I will write more about the second day when I get back home.
The colosseum was always our first stop, and because there wasn’t any traffic in the Via dei Fori Imperiali I wanted to take a photo of the (almost) empty street.

Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II — we decided to go in and explore the building a little bit. It’s as majestic on the inside as it is on the outside, but from its terrace you have a panoramic view of the surroundings and it’s quite beautiful.
The Fountain of Neptune in Piazza Navona — there are all kinds of fountains in Rome. Big fountains, little fountains, fountains with ornaments, fountains with statues of greek gods, fountains where you can’t touch the water, fountains where you can drink the water… but every single one is unique and a pleasure to stare at.

The Pantheon. Another humongous and imposing monument. One can only stare… unfortunately it was closed at the time, but we had the chance to go back and walking in (the smudge is still there).
After the pantheon we were on our way to see the Trevi Fountain… but that’s for another post.
