Time really does fly, eh?
It’s been a little while since I posted…but I have been really busy and tired year last few days. I have a couple of posts ideas to bump up the blog, but or now I need to fin my ground again and take it a little easier or ill end up doing nothing at all.

Even though these are busy times, I still have to eat, right? Well, last Thursday me and keoshi went to umai. Umai is really not a sushi place, but it does have tremendously good sushi and it’s also not a Chinese place but it serves excellent dim sum… It’s basically a fusion of great Asian food served in a very fun way.

They have a weekly menu that you can choose from and you can eat everything on that menu, or just eat a few items. We had it all. And went for doubles…because you can, and you should.

The place is very pretty and it gives off an expensive sort of vibe, because it is expensive, it’s not the kind of place you go every week…or at least I won’t be going every week, even though I want to.

A few months ago I talked about setting the bar really high for Asian food and Umai just pushed it a little bit further up. The ingredients were fresh as could be, the staff was very pleasant and helpful, the place was very nice to be in and the food kept coming at a very steady pace and it kept getting better and better with each plate.

I had some stuff I never had before, like a crab little roll that was sweet and savory and was like an explosion of flavor in my mouth… There were also these scallops that were exquisite and the ginger ice cream was just a treat and a nice way to end our meal.

All in all I have to say that it was definitely one of the best Asian food restaurants I have ever eaten in and I will definitely going back. If you’re in Lisbon don’t think twice and go try it out! Yeah it’s a bit expensive but hey, you only live once, so what the hell!

Have a nice Sunday y’all!
