the weekend.

It’s Monday and the weekend is over but this past weekend was absolutely wonderful for me.

On Saturday morning me and keoshi got up fairly early for a Saturday and drove to Paço de Arcos beach to have brunch at QB – Quiosque Bar. This was a Christmas present for us and it was so lovely. We had a great time! The brunch was not our favorite nor the best we have had, but it was flavorful and simple and everything, including the staff was very pleasant. We then went for a walk around a beach nearby and we kept missing Akira, that was at home, probably still sleeping.

So we went back home, picked him up and off we went to another beach. He loooooooves the beach and as soon as he felt sand in his paws he was instantly the happiest dog alive, running and jumping and getting in the water and playing with sticks…it was so wonderful! He got tired after a while so we sat down at a bar on the beach and had a few beers and alheira for lunch (which is a type of sausage we have around here), that we shared.

We then headed back home had a nice nap, all three of us and then went out for dinner at petit bistro with the in-laws. Again, a great meal and a great time.

Sunday the waking up was late and after going on a walk with akira, me and keoshi went for a bike ride around town. Keoshi has been trying to convince me to get a new bike to ride around Lisbon with him…and he got me, I’m sold. We had a tremendous time, and even a picnic that included miso soup and sushi! We rode the bikes until 4 ish in the afternoon only to get back home and watch series, making good use of Apple TV (that thing is awesome, btw).

And that was it.

It was a great weekend only to precede a great week, that is bound to be very special. Stay tuned.
