The situation.

So here’s the actual situation: I’m in bed, under the covers, writing this, while 90ish tests, 90ish lab reports and 90 ish essays wait for me to mark and grade them. This weekend.

So you can imagine how life has been around here. It’s been nearly 2 weeks since I got back from Dubai and it sure feels like a big whole week…

I went to Abu Dhabi on work, so I didn’t have much time to walk around (and you need a very long time to walk around) so i only got a few pics that are supposed to portray an enormous city.
Everything is absolutely huge there. It was certainly a very different place to be in. Where you’d have to take care on what clothes you wear (specially if you’re a woman) and how to behave. Everyone is very very nice and always very helpful no matter what situation, but I was there for a very short period of time, so…
Either way it’s a place I’d certainly like to go back to with Keoshi, and just have more time to see more of it.

This was probably the best airline company I’ve ever been on. The food was absolutely delicious.

I always had (a delicious and huge) breakfast at the hotel and only had to go up the escalator to find myself at the meeting’s venue so it was a get-out-of-bed-work situation.

I was prepared to pay huge amounts of money for anything, but unless you go into stores like Gucci or Evita Peron, everything’s quite affordable.

20140322-110852.jpg This is the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa. And it’s ridiculously big. I may throw in a small video showing just how tall this thing is.

The view from the beach and the taxis. Yes lamborghinis.

And the Dubai Mall.
Even though it’s *just* a mall, it’s very very unique and a nice escape from the heat outside. Among other things it features a huuuuge aquarium, an ice ring and a waterfall. You can buy anything and everything here.

It’s definitely a place to go back with K, one day.

Have a great weekend!>
