I’m Lena. I spent several years carefully curating an Instagram presence, quit more than a year ago, and have absolutely no plans to go back. I will tell you this unprompted.
I run. Half marathons, 10ks, and the occasional sprint away from my responsibilities. I also read voraciously, mostly fiction, romance, and books involving dragons, sometimes all three at once. I’m passionate about the good kind of education (as a teacher, that’s important), and my family is, without competition, the most important thing in my life.I travel when I can, to new places and familiar ones alike, and believe deeply in the concept of dolce far niente (the sweet art of doing nothing) while being constitutionally incapable of actually practicing it. There is always something to do. Something to organise. Something to be productive about. The irony is not lost on me.
I love photography, drawing, and painting, and would do all three more often if life would kindly get out of the way. I’ve had several successful daily photo projects over the years. The last one lasted one day. Life happened.
I’m based near Lisbon, Portugal, which, to be fair, makes the dolce far niente aspiration entirely reasonable.
Drop me a line or just say ‘hello’!
