blog crush: lingered upon.

The title, “lingered upon,” is taken from a line of one of my favorite T.S. Eliot poems, “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.” Here, it is meant to say that I lingered on some moment and hence, a photo came of it. Or perhaps someone else’s art caught my eye and made me linger. Here, you will find photos, thoughts, inspirations, and memories. Here, you will find all things Alice.

Alice Gao is a New York based photographer and a brilliant one, I might add.

Her blog, lingered upon, started out as a way of sharing her passion for photography and her views of the world — but to me, it’s so much more than that.

Along the way Alice started to shoot the places where she’d eat and her meals and that’s when I found this precious little place in the blog world. The way the food is portrayed in her blog is simply astounding and just plain beautiful.

Her portfolio speaks for itself.

But I cannot classify lingered upon as a food blog: yes, it has restaurants, yes it has food… but as Alice firstly described her blog, lingered upon is also about Alice the photographer and Alice as just Alice.

And that’s what I love about this blog – it’s honesty.

Visit lingered upon, and drop Alice a word – she’s a very sweet and nice person!
